Bible verses for uncertain times
Last reviewed
Uncertainty is the ordinary condition of most of the people in the Bible. Abraham leaves without knowing where. Ruth arrives somewhere with no plan. The letters are full of people waiting for news that has not come.
One thing this page will not do is treat any passage as a forecast. Passages that are sometimes read as predictions about present-day events are not included, because that kind of reading is contested and has a long record of causing harm.
