Discouragement gets more attention in the Bible than it is often given credit for. Elijah asks to die under a broom tree. Jeremiah wishes he had never been born. Several psalms end without resolution.

Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.
29He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. 30Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; 31but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
