The Bible is not uniformly negative about anger. Proverbs counsels slowness to anger; the Psalms contain some remarkably direct anger, expressed rather than hidden; and the New Testament letters distinguish between being angry and acting badly because of it.

The passages below reflect that range. Anger at genuine injustice and anger that has become corrosive are not the same thing, and this page does not treat them as if they were.
