Birthdays are barely mentioned in the Bible, and the two that are described do not end well. What the tradition does supply generously is blessings — set forms of words used to wish someone well.

24‘The LORD bless you, and keep you. 25The LORD make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. 26The LORD lift up his face towards you, and give you peace.’
