Selected passages from Ephesians
Passages from this book that have been reviewed as reading clearly on their own.
8for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, that no one would boast.
2with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
Reading a whole book
Chapter and verse numbers were added centuries after these texts were written, and they occasionally fall in awkward places. If a chapter seems to begin mid-thought, it may well be doing exactly that — reading the end of the previous chapter usually resolves it.
